Rita's

All my people from up north listen up,  I found an Italian Ice Shop.  Yes, real Italian Ice here in Atlanta. 

While on an outing with my grandma we both saw the sign at the same time and like a scene in movie we quickly made a U-turn on busy Monroe Drive to see if oour eyes were deceiving us but low and behold it was true, Italian Ice. 

The shop is decoraterd in red, white and blue like the, cherry, lemon and blue rasberry ice I would eat as a kid.  The staff was friendly, helpful and patient with indecisive children and customers like myself that wanted to taste every flavor before making a choice.  For the record every flavor was delicious.

Rita's also has delicious custard (the lightest, creamest soft serve ice cream I've had) and sugar free treats.

On your next visit to Piedmont Park or the Midtown Promenade Center visit Rita's, you won't be disappointed.  And get a Cool Card, ten stamps on this frequent buyer card gets a free frozen treat.
